Mahseer & Trout Fishing - 2010/2011:

The Mahseer, India ’s premier sport fish can be found in many of the larger rivers. In the South they can grow up to 50 kilos while in the northern rivers they can reach 30 kilos. These tours take us to some of the most prolific spots and provide great opportunities to experience the wonderful surroundings. Tiger, wild elephant and rhino may be silent spectators. Catfish may also be found, these can grow in excess of 200 kilos. The tour price does not include the cost of the international and internal flights. We can arrange all flights should you require.

We have been exploring the beautiful rivers of our home state – Himachal Pradesh. They contain both mahseer, and higher up, brown and rainbow trout. The brown trout were originally imported from Loch Leven in the 19th century, and can attain weights of over 10 lbs.

North India: Fly to Delhi and then travel by road to the Kumaon region of Utter Pradesh, or up to Himachal Pradesh.
